Lake Forest Middle School recently held the 2018 Honors Awards Night to recognize students who excel in academics, leadership, and character. More than 300 students received medals for earning either Gold or Silver Honor roll. Additionally several students were honored for outstanding achievement in academics, leadership, character, and extra-curricular activities throughout their middle school careers. The most distinguished awards presented during awards night are the Mr. and Miss LFMS awards. Teachers and faculty nominated three boys and three girls in eighth grade to be considered for this top honor. This year’s winners were Minnie Brock and Addason Harris for their academic excellence, outstanding school leadership, and overall integrity and character. Some of the other awards presented were the Principal’s Character Award for eighth-grade students from each team who demonstrate positive character traits and the Bruin Scholars award, given to students in each grade level who earned the highest grade-point average. more
