ROME, Ga. — It was not a good night offensively for Lee University Thursday but the Lady Flames (4-1, 1-0) managed to overcome inconsistent shooting to beat the Lady Hawks of Shorter College 47-37.
The 2009 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship opening round will take place on Saturday with 15 matches played at on-campus sites. Eight schools are making their first appearance in the national championship and four others are searching for their first win on the national stage. The 15 National Championship opening round winners join Championship host, Fresno Pacific (Calif.), from Nov. 30 through Dec. 5 in Fresno, Calif., for the National Championship final site.
