Charles Edward Farris

Charles Edward "Charlie" Farris, 67, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2008.

He was born Aug. 16,1941, in Birchwood and spent most of his life in Cleveland.

He was very faithful to his Lord and loved his gospel bluegrass.

He was a well-known car dealer and owned Spring Place Motors for 20 years. He was known and loved by everyone and liked to spend time at the flea markets with his friends. He will be missed by everyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ruth Farris; and sisters: Jackie Stokes and Debra Willis. He is leaving behind a loving family to be with God.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Janice Lawson Farris; sons: Brian Farris and Todd Farris and his wife, Sabrina, both of Cleveland; daughter, Paige Farris Gunter and her husband, Johnny, of Cleveland; special granddaughter, Kelsey Farris; brothers: Jerry Farris of Cleveland and David Farris of Birchwood; sisters: Ginger Roark of Birchwood, Rickie Stanley of Cohutta, Ga., Judy Lawhorn, Ann Guinn and Penny Heifner, all of Cleveland; aunts: Ruby Brown and Ressie Farris; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Ronnie Pearson and Mike Willis officiating.

Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Carl Ruth, Art Quarles, Gene Bishop, Junior Cross, Kenny King, Johnny Vest, Rick Daughtry, Scott Farris and Charlie Mikel serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
