Lynn Marlene England McCormack, 65, of Delano, passed away at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2017. She is a native and lifelong resident of Polk County, attending Brookhill Baptist Church of Etowah, and was employed for several years at Davidson/Textron, and also Etowah Healthcare as a caregiver, and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elden and Leona Call England, and one sister, Rita England. more

Reuben Thomas Brackett of Etowah went to sleep in death on Sunday, Nov.r 26, 2017. He was born on June 30, 1936 in Old Fort, the first son of Migie and Frances Harrold Brackett. He served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from CSX Railroad. He was a devout Jehovah’s Witness and spent almost 15 years in the full-time ministry talking to people about the Bible and its message of God’s Kingdom. His hope is to live forever in the restored Paradise on earth. more
