The Athens Area Council for the Arts will present Future Divas in concert in the Sue E. Trotter Theater at The Arts Center on Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

All seats are $10 and tickets may be purchased in advance and at the door as available.

A diva is defined as a “celebrated female singer,” and the seven young women chosen to perform are on a path to fulfilling that definition.

Their voices range in training from jazz to opera to show tunes to country and western, and the program will feature all of those styles and more.

Each of the “future divas” has appeared on local stages and some have received radio airplay.

The seven “future divas” are Aislin Anderson, Cat Beddingfield, Ally Clark, Ashley Clark, Betsy Crabtree, Kinslee Melhorn, and Kyla Royal.

Tickets for the Future Divas concert may be purchased on line at www.athensartscouncil.org or at The Arts Center, 320 N. White St. in downtown Athens.
