The first play of the second season, the play will be presented Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the George R. Johnson Cultural Heritage Building at Cleveland State Community College.

The John Cariani’s play is set in the middle of winter in the mythical town of Almost, Maine.

As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways.

The play has such a diverse set of situations that a cast of actors from many different walks of life was required.. It stars the following 10 actors: Haley Anderson, Colin Castleberry, Megan Castleberry, Dawn Hendrix, Harrison Keely, Lora Langford, Michael Myers, Jacque Payne, Jim Veenstra and Joy Veenstra.

Some of the actors in the StageWorks production of “Almost, Maine” will still be acting in more than one role, assuming the lives of the different characters in different scenes.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students or seniors. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $7.50 each by contacting StageWorks by email or phone and making special arrangements to do so.
