Committing to help Cleveland and Bradley County residents take a healthy step in the right direction, Ladd Springs Adventist Church will host an “Eating For Energy” awareness event, Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
To be held at the church at 5860 Bates Pike S.E., the activity is free to the community; however, preregistration is required, according to Becky Carlson, an event organizer.
Registration deadline is Thursday.
At “Eating For Energy,” registered attendees will sample fresh foods and learn fitness moves that Carlson said will be led by Cleveland fitness instructor Linda Thompson. The event will also include gifts, recipes, samples and energy tips.
“Eating For Energy” will also feature nutrition information from Joel Fuhrman, M.D., a medical researcher and nutrition specialist.
Space is limited at the coming event so pre-registration is necessary by calling 423-615-9580 or sending an email to Newstart4Health@gmail.com.
Carlson stressed the community activity is not a for-profit venture. Instead, it is a church-sponsored event intended to provide recipes, fitness moves and other suggestions that can be used by area residents “... to live with more energy.”
