Building in Cleveland was sparingly done in the month of December, with only 15 projects requiring permits.
This is down from 28 permits in November.
December permits brought $8,086 in revenue to the city. These permits represent $2.2 million worth of projects, most of which were residential.
Eight permits were drawn for residential projects, including construction of new townhouses and some single-family homes. Another permit was for installation of an 8-foot retaining wall. Another was for repairs to a house that had suffered fire damage.
Additions or alterations to existing structures accounted for six permits. New porches, an addition a house and moving an entrance gate at the Coca-Cola plant on Refreshment Lane were some of the projects.
Total additions or alterations totaled nearly $1.4 million in costs or value.
One commercial permit was acquired by New Life Baptist Church to build a fellowship hall. The project is valued by the city at $80,000.
Permits were also drawn for land disturbances. The six permits brought in $120. Project value is reported at $340,000. Two of the permits signified coming new construction of single-family homes, one on Ridge Park Drive, the other on Candlelight Cove N.E. in the Canterbury Ridge such division.
Three of the permits were related to a triplex on Chelsea Drive. The final was for a Windy Ridge Drive address.
