The 25th annual Halloween Block Party is set for Wednesday, Oct. 31, and details will appear exclusively in Sunday’s edition of the Cleveland Daily Banner.
Sharon Marr, executive director of Mainstreet Cleveland, said the thousands who attend this year’s Block Party can expect the usual Halloween treats including Mars Chocolate’s Treat Street, entertainment and family fun. A special musical group is being brought in specifically for this year’s event, courtesy of sponsor Check Into Cash.
“There has been a lot of speculation about what band would appear on the 25th anniversary of the Halloween Block Party, but no details will be given until Sunday in the Banner,” Marr said. “I will say that the band we have hired is a rock’n roll act that many people in the South will recognize. They have a reputation for putting on a great concert in the tradition of bands like Led Zeppelin, Blues Traveler and AC/DC. They have been touring and making records for more than two decades.”
Marr also confirmed that barbecue ribs, grilled chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, funnel cakes, games and much more will be a part of the 25th anniversary celebration. Area businesses and nonprofit groups are invited to participate and a limited amount of vendor space is still available.
“Every Block Party is special, but this year’s event will be a night to remember forever,” Marr stressed. “We are expecting a record crowd and anyone who comes out will not be disappointed.”
