Michael A. Powell Jr., 18, Ryder Clint Rice, 29, and Gary Dewayne Shaw, 51, are charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000.
Two pit bull puppies, a weed trimmer, gasoline containers and knives were taken during an Aug. 30 burglary, according to reports.
Powell and Rice were “seen walking the puppies on Inman Street,” said Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
Powell and Rice were contacted and questioned by BCSO investigators.
Criminal Investigation detectives took Shaw into custody Friday after his alleged involvement in the burglary was discovered.
Shaw posted bond and has been released, according to Gault.
Stephen D. Voyles, 46, was arrested Sunday after a homeowner returned home to reportedly find him inside her residence.
An initial offense report filed by deputy Brandon Edwards said Patty Bender arrived home and noticed a pickup truck in her driveway.
Bender also said a light was on in her upstairs bedroom, then she saw the light go off.
“As she continued walking toward her front door, a white male came out,” said Edwards.
The man then got into his truck and attempted to drive away, crashing his truck into a ditch.
Voyles was taken into custody after he was reportedly determined to be intoxicated, according to Edwards.
Further investigation revealed Voyles had been the suspect seen in Bender’s home.
Inside the Bender home, a number of items had been disturbed but nothing had been taken, according to Edwards’ report.
Voyles was charged with aggravated burglary, DUI, driving on revoked license, possession of burglary tools, possession of prohibited weapons and violation of implied consent.
