The 4-H Office has announced the 2012 Summer Schedule and youth across Bradley County have been busy signing up for camps.

There are two overnight camps that are still open and one day camp for youth.

Junior 4-H Camp: This camp is for grade 4-6 4-H members. 4-H Junior Camp will be held June 11-15, 2012, in Greenville, at the Clyde Austin 4-H Camp. The overnight 4-H camp offers a variety of camp activities, such as swimming, canoeing, fishing, sports, tie-dying, crafts, campfires, shooting sports, and a whole lot more!

There are still 15 spots available, on a first come-first serve basis, for this camp. The fee for 4-H Camp is $270 per camper. This fee covers transportation to and from camp, lodging, a camp T-shirt, and meals for the week. The fee can be paid in two payments of $135.

The first payment is due immediately and the final payment is due on June 1 or the camper will not be eligible to attend the camp.

A mandatory camper/parent meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 5. If you have any questions, please call the 4-H office at 728-7001.

Kreative Kids Day Camp: This day camp will focus on educating youth about fashion and design, nutrition and cooking, and making crafts. Kreative Kids will be held on Tuesday, June 26, Thursday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Youth in fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh grades are invited to attend this camp. The cost for the camp is $25 per person and the deadline to register is Friday, June 1.

The camp is limited to 20 individuals and must have 10 youth registered to conduct it.

Junior Heritage Skills Camp: This two-day, one-night camp will be held in Benton on July 18-19. The camp focuses on what it was like to live in the pioneer days.

Youth attending will swim, learn new crafts, participate in outdoor cooking, and play lots of games. Youth in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades are invited to attend this camp. The cost is $55 per person and the deadline to register is Monday, July 2.

Participation is limited and registration will be done on a first-come, first-served basis for all camps. Registration forms are available at the 4-H Office at 95 Church Street S.E. or by calling 423-728-7001.
