A report filed by deputy Dustin Patrick of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office named Whitney Amber Firsdan, 22, as a defendant.
Firsdan was reportedly the passenger in a car in which driver Michael E. Egbert, 41, changed lanes abruptly and almost struck a Cleveland Police car, according to the report.
Egbert was charged with possession of Schedule III and VI narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Legend drugs, according to the report.
Firsdan was charged with the same alleged offenses after a search of the vehicle and after it was determined by authorities that Egbert was driving without a Tennessee driver’s license.
Both were taken to the Bradley County Jail and booked on the charges.
- The TBI has issued a lookout for two men who may be traveling across the state after escaping from a Louisiana penal facility.
Darian Pierce, 33, and Ricky Wedgeworth, 36, both white males, are considered dangerous and anyone possibly encountering them should exercise caution, according to Kristen Helm of TBI’s Media Information Center.
The two were spotted in Jackson on Tuesday evening when a THP trooper pulled over their vehicle. The car they were in had been stolen in Vicksburg, Miss.
Pierce and Wedgeworth escaped on foot after the traffic stop, according to reports.
U.S. Marshals have also joined in the hunt for the escapees who reportedly took off around 2 p.m. Friday from the Louisiana State Police Headquarters Compound where they were on work detail.
Reports said they stole a state-issued van which was later found near St. Francisville, La. It’s believed they then traveled to Mississippi where they stole the car that was recovered Tuesday evening, according to Helm’s information.
“Wedgeworth is a Memphis native and has a criminal history out of Shelby County. He was serving time in Louisiana for a 2006 armed robbery and has an arrest record that includes theft, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault. He is described as (being) approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds, with reddish brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his arms, chest and abdomen,” according to Helm.
“Pierce was serving time in Louisiana for attempted second-degree murder and has been arrested for murder as well as aggravated criminal damage to property in Louisiana. Pierce is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighs approximately 145 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes and tattooed fingers on his right hand.”
If spotted, the public should call 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463).
