AFTER 17 YEARS of service to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Courts Division, Lucinda Akers officially retired Monday. She was recently honored at a reception attended by her fellow employees and her husband, Dr. Ron Akers, left. Sheriff Jim Ruth presented a retirement plaque which read, "Your dedication, skills and professionalism are admired by all of the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.”
