Alice Faye Phillips, 56, a resident of Benton, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle in Riceville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Burger; and granddaughter, Gabrielle Phillips.

Survivors include her children: Carmella Cross and husband, Paul, of Benton, Jeremy Phillips of Benton, Stephen Phillips and wife, Christy, of Benton, and Joseph Phillips of Cleveland; mother, Lurine Dale Burger of Benton; four sisters: June Hicks of Cleveland, Jan Rayburn of Charleston, Carol Burger of Benton and Tammy Branham of Decatur; six brothers: Junior Burger, Kenneth Burger, Ray Burger, Bobby Burger, Anthony Burger, and Billy Burger, all of Benton; eight grandchildren: Lacy Bivens, Andrew Phillips, Corey Phillips, Faith Cross, Mitchell Phillips, Seth Phillips, Tristan Vest, and Ethan Cross; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Wynn officiating.

Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in Turtletown.

A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
