Pre-kindergarten girls through girls age 82 listened to guest readers Susan Guentensberger and Sheron Smith re-enact favorite Junie B. books, as well as participate in several Junie B. activities and experiences throughout the evening.
Volunteers from Lee University and the BETA Club from Cleveland High School assisted 130 girls with Junie B. experiences. This year, Title 1 Family Program Coordinator Sharon K. Bass invited Arnold fourth- and fifth-grade girls to re-enact and read Junie B. books to all K-3 grades, allowing all students in the lower grades to complete one Junie B. Jones book before the Tuesday night event.
