Jim Witter will bring his nostalgic show “Feelin’ Groovy: The 60s and the Music of Simon and Garfunkel” to the Conn Center on the Campus of Lee University on Monday at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $25 for this concert. For more information, visit “Bright Night, An Evening of Inspiration, Music and Comedy” to celebrate Shafer Daves and other children in the Chattanooga community will be Nov. 8 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the historic Tivoli Theatre in downtown Chattanooga. This will be a fun-filled, family-friendly evening celebrating the miraculous life of the Make-A-Wish 3-year-old. All proceeds will go to support Shafer’s medical account at the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, along with a portion being donated to YMCA Boyz Inc. and T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital to give back to the community in honor of Shafer. Tickets are priced at $50 for adults, and $25 for ages 12 and under. Purchase at or by calling 642.TIXS (8497). Families at or below the poverty line with children 12 years of age or younger, and seniors 60 years of age and older, are invited to register for the Angel Tree program. Through the generosity of our donors, the Angel Tree provides much-needed clothing, toys and other crucial items to qualified participants. Registration will continue Nov. 2, 5 and 7 for the Cleveland area. The Salvation Army’s third annual Jingle Bell Jog: 5K/1 Mile Walk will be held on Dec. 1 at Tinsley Park. The event begins at 10 a.m. with registration at 9 a.m. Pre-registration can be completed online at Proceeds will go toward utility assistance for those in the Cleveland area during the harsh winter months. The 5K is competitive, flat, fast and certified. Pre-register entry fee: $20; day of race entry fee: $25; pre-register family fee: $40; day of race family fee: $45.
