Teens will meet March 14 at 4:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library in the Teen Zone to create art and poetry from the pages of discarded books. Tweens Book Chatter group will meet March 15 in the Storytime Room at 4:30 p.m. to discuss “Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School & Other Scary Things” by Lenore Look. This group is intended for ages 7 through 10.

Book and Coffee Series will be held March 15 at the Craigmiles-Johnston House History Branch Library at 10 a.m. Alexander Delk will review his book, “Memories of Yesteryear,” about life in rural America during the 1920s and ’30s. The reviews usually last one hour. Friends of the Library Association provides the coffee.

The Spring Shopping Extravaganza featuring direct sales and unique craft vendors will be held April 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Peerless Road Church. Sponsored by The Salvation Army, this family event will make it fun and easy for families to enjoy one-stop shopping. There will be giveaways every hour, live entertainment, refreshments, free samples and an exciting illusionist. Dr. William Bass, founder of the University of Tennessee Body Farm, will be in Cleveland on April 16 for a speaking engagement, as announced by the Friends of the Library Association. The talk by Dr. Bass will be held at the Little Theater in the Village Green Town Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale March 18 at the library. Adult tickets will cost $10 and student tickets $5. A limited “Meet and Eat” reception will be held before the evening talk with wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres served. Reservations for the reception and reserved seating for the talk will be $75 per person. Contact the library for more information.

Foundation House Ministries, which will open in May, is seeking volunteers to teach Bible studies, crafts, tutoring, cooking classes, parenting and nutrition classes.
