Newcomers of Cleveland will have its next general meeting on Monday at 9:45 a.m. at Broad Street United Methodist Church. There will be a demonstration of scarf-making by Barb Beatty. “Made to Crave” class will be at the YMCA on each Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. until Oct. 29. The class, for ages 16 and up, will be led by Ruthie Forgey, who recently lost more than 155 pounds. The class will address the spiritual and emotional motivation needed to make healthier choices. For more information, call 423-304-9281.

Take Charge of Your Diabetes six-week course will continue Monday and Oct. 14, 21 and 28, concluding Nov. 4. Classes are from 2 to 4 p.m. each day. The course is a fun, skill-building program designed for persons with diabetes and is designed to help individuals take day-to-day responsibility for the care of their diabetes. Class size is limited. To register, contact the UT Extension-Bradley Office at 728-7001 by Sept. 26.

Common Threads Quilt Club is sponsoring a quilt show on Oct. 11-12 at the Mount Olive Chuch of God Family Ministry Center, 3533 Harrison Pike. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Food and crafts will be available to buy. Bradley Central High School class of 1993 is holding its 20-year reunion on Oct 19, 7:30 p.m., at the Old Woolen Mill in downtown Cleveland.
