Family Game Night at the library kicks off Monday at 7 p.m. in the Community Room. Bring the family to participate with others in gaming on the big screen or with board games set up around the room. Another family fun night will be the Classic Comedy Movie Night at 7 p.m. Tuesday with the showing of “Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein.” Freshly popped corn will be served.

Registration for the Cleveland Salvation Army Angel Tree Program begins Tuesday. Families at or below the poverty line with children 12 years of age or younger and seniors, 60 years of age and older, are invited to register for the Angel Tree program which provides much needed clothing, toys and other crucial items to qualified participants. A Law Forum on Reverse Mortgages will be presented by the Bradley County Bar Association on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at the library. Call 472-2163, ext. 126, if you plan to attend. This forum will include a question-and-answer session with the audience.

The Teen “After Hours Masquerade Party” will be held Saturday at the library beginning at 7 p.m. Dress up and join us for dancing, food, fun, and prizes. Bring a canned good for admission. This event will jump-start our Thanksgiving food drive.

Teens and Tweens Stargazing at the library is set for the next full moon on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. Bring blankets and telescopes while we search the skies for stars and planets. The library has two telescopes to share. We will meet on Lee University campus adjacent to the library.

The Salvation Army’s third annual Jingle Bell Jog: 5K/1 Mile Walk will be held on Dec., 1 at 4031 Tinsley Park. The event begins at 10 a.m. with registration at 9 a.m. Pre-registration can be completed online at Proceeds from this event will go towards utility assistance for those in the Cleveland area during the harsh winter’s months. The 5K is completive, flat, fast and certified. Pre-register entry fee: $20; day of race entry fee: $25; pre-register family fee: $40; day of race family fee: $45.
