An investigation is continuing into a shooting which occurred Sunday evening, and an arrest has been made, according to Bradley County Sheriff’s Office officials.

Charles Drew Warren, 44, was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated domestic assault Monday after an alleged argument with Della Marie Floyd.

Bradley County Emergency Medical Service paramedics, along with BCSO deputies, responded to a convenience store located on Pleasant Grove Road after being notified that Floyd had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, according to reports.

The incident reportedly occurred at the KOA Campground, located at 648 Pleasant Grove Road.

According to Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for BCSO, detectives learned the two “struggled with a handgun during an argument. The weapon fired, striking Floyd in the upper left chest.”

Gault could not provide information regarding the argument, noting the investigation is continuing.

Floyd was taken to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment. She was released from the hospital later.

Warren is scheduled to appear in Bradley County General Sessions Court Thursday. He was booked at the Bradley County Jail on the charges and released after posting $20,000 bond.
