In the classroom, the children got to look at some of the lifesaving equipment that is used every day on the ambulance.
“At this young age the children are so curious and easily amazed. It is really fun to watch their faces and listen to their questions,” Stan Clark said.
The children were told about being safe by wearing helmets when riding bicycles. They also discussed how to call 911 in an emergency. After the show and tell, they all went outside and got to sit in the back of the ambulance. They were amazed at all of the different items. The most exciting thing was when the emergency lights were turned on.
“It is very important to start teaching these children at a young age the importance of safety and how do deal with emergency situations. We speak to children of all ages and adults as well. If you would like for us to speak to your group or organization you can contact us at 728-7010,” Clark said.
