All Bradley County and Cleveland City Elementary Schools are invited to participate. The painted pumpkins should be a classroom project and each classroom may submit one pumpkin display.
The pumpkins will arrive at Bank of Cleveland’s main office on Oct. 25 and remain on display throughout the MainStreet Halloween Block Party.
Cash prizes will be awarded as follows: First-place judged will receive $200; second-place judged will receive $150; Facebook Favorite will receive $150; and one Lucky Winner, determined by a drawing, will receive $150.
“Pictures of all the painted pumpkins will be placed on Bank of Cleveland’s Facebook page on Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. Moms, dads, friends and families can visit the page and ‘Like’ their favorite pumpkin until Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. The painted pumpkin with the most votes will win the Facebook Favorite category,” said Christy Griffith, senior vice president of Bank of Cleveland.
Winning classrooms will be notified on Oct. 29 by 9 a.m. and will also be posted on Bank of Cleveland’s Facebook page.
Each classroom that submits a painted pumpkin will be invited to the “Private Pumpkin Party” on Oct. 30, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., at Bank of Cleveland’s Main Office. The children, parents and teachers will be treated to popcorn, refreshments, face painting and other fun activities.
The community is encouraged to stop by Bank of Cleveland's main office during the Halloween season and visit the “Painted Pumpkin Patch.”
