Dan Benton of the Gunbarrel location of Panera Bread in Chattanooga, was recently named top general manager for 2012 by the local Panera Bread franchise organization, CSC Investments LLC.

He achieved this recognition due to his track record for consistently successful operations and his commitment to the concept and brand.

Tom Krings, operating partner for the Panera franchise, CSC Investments, said, “Our success as a concept depends on great customer service and the key to producing that result is running a consistent operation and building strong relationships in the community.

“In 2012, Dan Benton and the team at our Gunbarrel location of Panera Bread were the epitome of consistency.

“Celebrating our success as a team is an integral part of our company culture and we're proud to share our excitement over this accomplishment. Based on the overall results that Dan Benton produced in 2012, he clearly earned the title of General Manager of the Year," Krings said.

Benton has been delivering freshly baked breads and smiles to the Chattanooga community for the last seven years.

He started his career with Panera Bread in 2006 at the Northgate location before moving to the Gunbarrel location in March of 2007.

Benton has recently moved to the Panera Bread in Cleveland, where he is general manger.
