Berneda ‘Bernbern’ Harris, 68, a resident of Cleveland, went home to meet her Savior and Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late John Henry Reynolds and Pauline Garner Reynolds. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Myra Ellener Harris; and her niece, Wanda Misty Gee.

She attended Cleveland Cornerstone Church and was a 1962 graduate of Bradley Central High School. She was retired from Kmart after 30 years of employment. She loved doing craftwork and making floral arrangements.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, William Marvin Harris, of Cleveland; one sister, Wanda Gee of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Mary Opal Burnette of Cleveland; nieces: Sharon Lyles and her husband, Christopher of Cleveland, Virginia Wise of Pigeon Forge and Tina Smith of Sevierville; nephews: Paul Hampton and his wife, Angie, of Cohutta, Ga., and Lester Hampton of Cleveland; great-nieces: Shawna Bigham of Cleveland, Kristie Whaley and her husband, Jackie, of Sevierville, Marsha Visage and her husband, Mike, of Alabama, Sherry Deckert of Texas, and Misty Deckert of California; great-nephews: Michael Deckert and his wife, T.C., of California, Walter Deckert and his wife, Sina, of Texas, Larry Wayne Elrod of Sevierville, Samuel Rogers of Alabama; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Herb Conley and Pastor Michael Harwell officiating.

Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Jackie Whaley, Samuel Rogers, Larry Elrod, Dakota Shaw, Chris Lyles and Paul Hampton serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
