Betty Ann Dunn Gaston, 80, of Cleveland, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, in a local hospital.

She was originally from Benton and the daughter of the late Francis Bates Dunn and John Robert Dunn. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Gaston; and her brothers: Frelan, H. V. Donald and Robert Dunn.

She was retired from Hardwick Clothes with 29 years of service. She loved to garden, fish, sew and she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended the Baptist church.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Curtis “Chuck” Gaston of Cleveland; sons: Alan E. Gaston and his wife, Diane, of Cleveland, and Mark Gaston and his wife, Joy, of Charleston; grandchildren: Carrie Bryan and her husband, Matthew, who is stationed with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, Casey and Bruce Gaston, both of Cleveland, and Jessica Gaston of Charleston; great-grandchildren: Savannah Gaston of Charleston and Aiden Gaston of Cleveland; sisters: Velma Burke of Chattanooga and Yvonne Hudgins of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted today, Jan. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Kenneth Isbell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

A dove release will conclude the services.
