Betty Jean Hackler, 75, of McDonald, passed away at Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013.

She was born on March 28, 1938, to the late Sanford and Sarah Ingram.

She had been a resident of Bradley County for more than 50 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Corinth Baptist Church, where she was very involved. She was also a member of the McDonald Ruritan Club.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Goforth and Brenda Stevens.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years, Billy Hackler; one son, Jerry Stevens; and one sister, Judy Ritchie.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, 216 Corinth Church Road, McDonald TN 37353.

The funeral will be held at the church Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Thacker and the Rev. J.C. Eller officiating.

Interment will follow the service Thursday at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Tony DeLay, Jimmy Strickland, Jerry Brooks and Paul DeLay will serve as pallbearers.
