Betty Jane Waggett, 92, a resident of Cleveland, went to her final resting place on Nov. 2, 2012.

She was born on May 11, 1920, in Southview, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Nettie Hallam Bell and William Bell. Her husband of 64 years, the Rev. Aaron R. Waggett, her sisters: Grace McVay and Arlene Dabney; and her brothers: William Bell and Owen Bell also preceded her in death.

She was a retired minister with the Church of God of Prophecy with 40 years of service. She served our Lord in various positions as a pastor of a church, missionary, children’s director and a youth director.

She was an accomplished Real Estate agent who won an award for being a “Million Dollar Seller.”

She loved poems and writing them and published her own book of poems.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She left this world with a cheerful heart bound for heaven. She left behind a family who loved and cherished her. Her one desire was to meet all her loved ones in Heaven to be with the Lord. She was a member of the Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include her children: Doris and Floyd Parker of Cleveland, Dennis and Carol Waggett of Webster, Texas, and Joyce and Melvin McGriff of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Kaye King of Cleveland, Ohio, Richard and Amy Parker of Columbus, Ga., Robert and Pam Parker of Cleveland, Michael and Kimberly Waggett of Houston, David and Susan Waggett of Houston, Darla and Clifford Chance of Cleveland, Melvin and Teresa McGriff Jr. of Rocky Mount, N.C., Anthony and Heather McGriff of Rossville, Ga., and Amy Humphries of Charleston; her great-grandchildren: Brandon and Charlotte King, Jennifer King, Hailey Parker, Coby Parker, Peyton Parker, Brandon Waggett, Brandon and Chase Joslin, Chelsea Chance, Mitchell Chance, Justin McGriff, Tiffany McGriff, Hannah McGriff, Cameron McGriff, Caitlyn McGriff and Cameron Boatwright; her great-great grandchildren: Chloe King, Calvin King and a host of many nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor John Stone and the Rev. Londa Richardson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Richard Parker, Rob Parker, Michael Waggett, David Waggett, Justin McGriff and Anthony McGriff serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, and again from 12 until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
