Betty June Newton, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away early Thursday morning, Jan. 10, 2013, in a local hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Gladys Runions Cavett and Albert Cavett.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Ingram; her second husband, William H. Newton Jr.; her sons: Bobby Ingram and Johnny Ingram; her sister, Barbara Austin; and her special friend, Max Hallum.

She worked in various types of Cleveland businesses and retired from the Coca-Cola Company. She loved fishing and traveling. She enjoyed being a caretaker for her inherited police scanner. Her life was filled with a love for laughter shared with friends and loved ones. She loved a simple life and spoke to those she loved straight and to the point!

She was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted Army wife. She was of the Baptist faith and has gone home to be with the Lord!

Survivors include her daughter, Vicky Guy and her husband, Terry; her son, Doug Ingram and his wife, Charlcie; her grandchildren: Dack Guy, Daniel Guy, Christopher Ingram, Brandon Ingram, Annie Ingram, Kim “Kimbo” Ingram, Tiffany Hughes, Jennifer Hendrick, Jessica Ingram and Nikki Ledwell; her great-grandchildren: Easton, Mason, Lexi, Austin, Ashley, Sean, Logan, Callie, Layla, James and Bobby; her sisters: Debby Cameron and Linda Keys; her brother, Donald Cavett; her brother-in-law, Leon Austin; and her longtime Army friend, Sid Fox.

The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted Saturday evening, Jan. 12, 2013, at 8 from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Jason Barnes officiating.

The family request that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Samples Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 371 Samples Chapel Road S.E., Cleveland TN 37311.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
