Between the Lines Bluegrass will headline the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee this Friday at 7 p.m.

The come-as-you-are event is free and open to the public.

“It’s taken more than a year to get Between the Lines back on the Jubilee,” said Will Nichols, producer of the weekly music show. “They’re that good! With a combination of heartfelt vocals, solid picking and contemporary arrangements, these guys offer up a fresh and original sound.”

Between the Lines hails from Englewood, and is comprised of Jeff Graves on mandolin, Chase Long on banjo, Doug Purdy on upright bass, and Walt Williamson on flattop guitar.

Regulars on the Jubilee include singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett, Emily Varnell, and the multi-talented “Wild Man” Danny O’Boyle. The Cowboy Church Band and Chorale open the show along with Nichols, known as “The Gospel Gun,” who is host and announcer.

The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is held at the Cleveland Cowboy Church in the Dockery Heights community at 3040 Blythe Road, off Dockery Lane, between Blue Springs and Blackburn Roads. Admission is free and a love offering is taken for the band.
