Billy C. “Charlie” Allison, 81, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday morning, Oct. 17, 2012, at his residence in Georgetown.

He attended Maple Grove Baptist Church. He was retired from Magic Chef.

He was the son of the late Edgar Ples Allison and Jennie Lee Rogers Allison. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillian Allison; daughter, Carolyn Allison; sons: Donnie Allison and Dennis Allison, all of Georgetown, Billy (Brenda) Allison of Apison, Raymond (Pamela) Allison of Turtletown; three grandchildren: Gene Allison, Daniel Allison and Rebecca Sartin; five great-grandchildren: Connor Allison, Brian and Nathan Sartin, and Emma and Hannah Allison; three stepgrandchildren: Shannon Early, Amy Robinson and Dennis Hoffman; one stepgreat-grandchild, Abby Robinson; sister Mollie Bowman of Birchwood; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Sears and Ronnie Dotson officiating.

Interment will follow in Bettis Cemetery in Georgetown with Gene Allison, Danny Allison, David Sartin, Shannon Early, Matt Robinson and Bo Allison serving as pallbearers.

A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
