The Montgomery Biscuits had one more rally in their hip pocket than the Chattanooga Lookouts did Monday night.

In the back-and-forth series opener at AT&T Field, the Biscuits came away with a 4-3 victory in 10 innings on a bases-loaded walk to Hector Guevara, who is still looking for his first Southern League hit.

Lookouts reliever Luis Vazquez (3-3), who has battled control problems this season, walked three in his lone inning Monday.

Montgomery's standout closer, C.J. Riefenhauser, earned his fourth win without a loss and lowered his league-best ERA below 0.50.

The two teams resume battle Tuesday night at 7:15, with Chris Reed going for the Lookouts.

Having rallied for a second time, Chattanooga came within an out of putting the Biscuits away in the top of the ninth. But an RBI triple from leadoff man Kevin Kiermaier pushed across the tying run.

Hector Nelo, having blown the save, stranded him at third.

The Lookouts had taken a 4-3 lead in the eighth on a two-out hit from Angelo Songco, chasing home Bobby Coyle, who had also singled.

The first Lookout lead of the night came in the third inning, on a two-out, two-run single from J.T. Wise. But Wise was thrown out at second to end the rally, and the Lookouts would not threaten again until the eighth.
