Black Fox Elementary recently announced the 2012-13 National Jr. Beta Club nominees. The club’s first service project, the Helping Hands Food Drive, was a success. Beta Club members made posters (a task done by advertisement committee members), took canned goods from classroom hallways to a central staging area where they were boxed and stacked for pickup (musclemen committee) and tallied items contributed to show which classroom collected the most. Jason Humberd’s class gathered the most items and won an ice cream party. The school’s goal was to collect 1,500 cans. Students surpassed this goal by collecting 1,596.
