Bobby Rogers, 74, a resident of Benton, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was born on May 25, 1939, to the late Cleavis and Mamie Rogers.
He was a lifelong resident of Polk County and retired from the Polk County Road Department. He was a member of the Conasauga Masonic Lodge and enjoyed working and staying busy throughout his life.
Above all things, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Malone.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 55 years, Jeanne Bowman Rogers; daughters: Kim Wilson (Greg) and Kelly Hicks (Troy); son, Tim Rogers (Pam); brother, Billy Rogers (Gail); and grandchildren: Brittany Wilson, Bret Rogers, Suze Rogers, and Jared Hicks.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today, April 22, 2014, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 358 Highway 64, Ocoee, TN 37361 with Pastor Benny Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Benton Memorial Gardens.
