Retired Cleveland State public speaking instructor Alexander W. Delk will be signing his latest book, “Memories of Yesteryear” on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Mary T. Barker Humanities Building first floor. He will also be signing books Thursday, Nov. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the CSCC Library.

“Memories of Yesteryear” reminisces on how life was in rural America during the period between the two great wars, World War I and World War II. The book deals with many aspects of life throughout much of the country during the 1920s and 1930s.

The cost is $18 for hardcover, and Delk’s books are also available at amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.

Delk’s ‘Memories of Yesteryear’ available at library event Nov. 17

Alexander W. Delk will be signing copies of his book, “Memories of Yesteryear,” about life of rural America during the 1920s and 1930s at the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library Nov. 17, from noon until 3 p.m.

This book is a compilation of articles written for the Cleveland Daily Banner about Delk’s reminisces on how life was in rural America during the period between the two great wars, World War I and World War II.

The series deals with many aspects of life throughout much of the country during the 1920s and 1930s.

Delk, a resident of Cleveland, is a former Cleveland State Community College public speaking teacher. He retired in May 2012 with a total of 57 years in education as a teacher/administrator.
