Tobie Cornman of Gainesville, Ga., and Tommy Boyd of Cleveland exchanged wedding vows in an afternoon ceremony on June 26, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Cleveland.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Frances Cornman of Gainesville. She is the granddaughter of Gene and Myrtice Shepard of Fort Valley, Ga., Betty Cornman of Warner Robins, Ga., and the late Marlin Cornman.

The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Nancy Boyd of Cleveland. He is the grandson of the late Frank and Leta Boyd and the late Bryant and Madge Dupree.

The wedding was officiated by Wayne Scholle, chaplain in the U.S. Army. Nuptial music was presented by Jean Henderson and Susan Peay.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by her cousin Tiffany Pelt of Warner Robins as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Chimwaza of Justin, Texas, Chelsey Davis, cousin, of Fort Valley, Katherine Roeser of Atlanta, Ga., and Brittany Martin of Gainesville.

Patricia Scholle and Sara Scholle were flower girls.

Halen Housley of Sumter, S.C., served as best man to the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Andrew Lay of Cleveland, the bride’s cousin Michael Williams of Byron, Ga., Beau David of Cleveland and Chris Berry of Nashville.

The reception was given by the bridal couple and their parents at the Christian Life Center at the church. Joanna Duncan, Catherine Duncan, Lu Crandell, Donna Ratcliff, Melinda McIntire, Melanie Goff and Amber Lanham assisted and served. Shelby Calfee, Ally Shaner and Julia Duncan attended the bride’s book and gift table.

After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Fla., the couple is at home in Cleveland.
