The Bradley County 4-H Sub-County Public Speaking Contests were held on Feb. 1 and 15, at Cleveland State Community College.

Winners from fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade club contests in the Bradley County and Cleveland City School Systems competed in the Sub-County contests.

Winners from these two contests advanced to the County 4-H Public Speaking Contest held on March 1, at Cleveland State Community College.

Fourth-grade winners who will advance to the county contest are Delaney Stone, Kaleigh Miller, Brian Criddle, Emma Cummings, Kylee Weir, Callahan Tentler, Daniel Davenport, Gracie Hixson, Eli Davis, Ellie James, Jeremiah Augustine, and Carly Chastain.

Fifth-grade winners who will advance to the county contest are: Lauren Harwood, Brody Helms, Caitlin Boone, Kynslei Sims, Hallie Wielfaert, Brooklyn Kyle, Julie Bryant, David Andrews, Ben Sparkman, Cole Cooper, Chloe Williams, and Allyson Pope.

Sixth-grade winners who will advance to the county contest are: Jessica Potter, Brenden O’Boyle, Trey Hamilton, Emily Wooden, Sarah Tanck, Carrie Snyder, and Jacob Garrett.

The Kiwanis Club of Cleveland sponsors the 4-H Public Speaking contests by furnishing ribbons and trophies for each contestant. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Cleveland also serve as judges.
