Bradley County Democrats plan reorganization convention April 6

The Bradley County Democratic Party will hold a Biennial Reorganization Convention to elect new leaders on April 6.

The meeting will take place in the Community Room of the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library at 795 Church St. N.E. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

All positions are open for nomination. Doors will close at noon when business, discussions, nominations and elections shall commence.

Local Democrats will elect a new chairperson, three vice chairs, public relations chair, secretary, treasurer and two members-at-large. Additionally, elections will be held for two executive committee members (one male, one female) from each of the 17 precincts in Bradley County. The precinct executive committee will elect a chairperson who will become a member of the executive board.

Members will also vote on adoption of the 2013 revision of the BCDP constitution and bylaws.

The meeting will be open for all attendees to express ideas and thoughts about the future.

All residents who are eligible Democratic Party voters of Bradley County are urged to attend.
