On Wednesday Bradley County Emergency Medical Service received the Above and Beyond Award presented by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Representatives from the ambulance service were invited to the Chattanooga Choo-choo to attend a luncheon in the Roosevelt Room. Several employers were there from the local Chattanooga area being recognized. Bradley County EMS was the only employer to receive the Above and Beyond Award. Receiving the award for Bradley County EMS were Danny Lawson, EMS chief, and Stan Clark, public information officer. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law and resolving conflict through mediation. “We are honored to be recognized in this manner and are proud of our men and women who serve our great country,” Chief Danny Lawson said. Tennessee congressman Chuck Fleischmann was the key note speaker and award presenter.
