Bradshaw to retire from Mesquite Police Dept.

Sgt. Michael Bradshaw will retire from the Mesquite Police Department in Mesquite, Texas, on Friday.

Bradshaw is the son of Joyce Hodges and stepson of Hugh Hodges of Cleveland.

He has served with the mesquite Police Department for 33 years. He worked as an air policeman with the U.S. Air Force for six years prior to joining the Mesquite department. He also served in the USAF Honor Guard at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

Bradshaw headed the homicide and robbery division for many years. He was the internal affairs investigation officer and prior to retirement, he supervised 18 school resource officers in the Mesquite Independent School District.

A reception will be held in his honor at the Mesquite Police Department on Friday.
