He was preceded in death by his four brothers and two sisters.
He enjoyed repairing small engines and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his sister, Josephine Swaggerty of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Remembrance of Life graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, from the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Tunnel Hill, Ga. with the Rev. Ernest Randolph officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
