In addition to Whirlpool, commercial permits in the city included interior build outs for H&R Block at 615 Paul Huff Parkway, valued at $58,000, and for an unnamed owner at 3780 Ocoee Place N.W., valued at $120,000.
Development and Engineering Services also recorded a permit in the “Factory Low Hazard” category for a metal building at 4405 Michigan Ave. costing $104,700.
Seven residential permits totaled $752,800, including a three-unit apartment by Charlie Lay valued at $250,000.
A permit for an arch on the corner of Billy Graham Avenue and Church Street at Lee University totaling $75,000 was issued in the “Miscellaneous” category.
Four Building Addition/Alter-ation permits issued for garages and utility rooms accounted for $181,000.
The city collected $20,387 on the 16 permits valued at $8.295 million. By comparison, Bradley County collected $11,759 on $3.44 million worth of new construction during the 10th month of the year.
County numbers included four commercial projects totaling $828,500. The largest was to His Song Ministries at 519 Urbane Road in the amount of $450,000. It was followed by a $375,000 job by The Broadway Group at 3425 Waterlevel Highway.
Bradley County also reported 31 new residential permits and 15 in the “Residential Additions and Others” category. New residential totaled $3.236 million and the “others” category accounted for $204,240.
