Three residents in the Bridgewater Drive community suffered loss after burglars took their property.
According to reports filed by Bradley County Sheriff’s Office deputies Kolby Duckett and Laura Lane, Bryan Norman notified the sheriff’s office Monday that someone had taken golf clubs and other items from his car, which was parked at his residence.
Two golf bags, an assortment of golf clubs, sunglasses, a GPS, Fossil watch and rangefinder were missing.
Norman reported his loss at $3.025.
Bill Davenport, of another Bridgewater Drive residence, reported someone entered his vehicle and took a Glock Model 27 .40-caliber handgun, a pair of sunglasses, and a Garmin GPS.
Davenport had reportedly left his vehicle unlocked. Davenport reported his loss as $840.
Dennis Potts of a Bridgewater Drive address said someone took golf bags and clubs from his vehicle. A small amount of cash was also taken.
According to the report, Potts said his blue Titleist golf bag and clubs were taken from his vehicle, which had also been left unsecured.
All reports indicated the auto burglaries were believed to have occurred Sunday late-night or early Monday morning.
Investigation has been turned over the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
- Scott Johnson of a Cobblestone Creek Road address reported he had followed the driver of a pickup truck who had taken two aluminum wheels from his property.
According to a report filed by deputy Laura Lane, she and other deputies responded to the area of Rabbit Valley Road after Johnson called 911 to inform officials of the theft.
Johnson said he had walked outside his business, which is located on Georgetown Road, and observed someone drive away in a gold extended-cab Ford Ranger pickup truck.
The perpetrators had loaded four tractor-trailer wheels into the bed of the truck and left the scene.
Johnson attempted to follow the vehicle and apparently lost the perpetrators in the area of Rabbit Valley Road.
Johnson valued the wheels at $600.
