The Cleveland Christian Lady Crusaders traveled to Collegedale Tuesday to face SCAA conference opponent the CAYA Lady Eagles. The Crusaders fell 11-25, 21-25, 23-25.

“My girls struggled to find their groove from the first serve and were never in contention during the match. CAYA looks to be the team to beat in the conference,” said coach John Mathis following the game.

“Many of the teams we play, like Collegedale, play primarily juniors and seniors. We are starting eighth- and ninth-graders and are still competing, so it’s hard to be too disappointed.”

Cleveland Christian (5-5, 3-4 in SCAA) hosts the Chattanooga Patriots tonight at 6 p.m. and travels to Polk County High School for a student special day game at 2 p.m, Friday.
