The Lady Crusaders topped Collegedale 48-28, while the Crusaders lost 75-34.
Things started out evenly matched in the girls’ game, with CCS and Collegedale both netting eight points.
The Lady Crusaders broke away from their opponent in the second quarter, scoring 14 points while Collegedale only managed to add one more point to the scoreboard before the half came to a close.
With a 22-9 lead going into the second half, CCS kept its offense going by adding 15 more points to the board.
Collegedale was able to net 10 points in the third quarter and nine points in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to overtake CCS’ lead.
Eleven more points scored by the Lady Crusaders in the fourth quarter solidified their 48-28 victory.
Holly Sutton led the Lady Crusaders with 22 points, while Whitney White netted 11 points of her own.
The Crusaders saw Collegedale jump out in front of them 19-12 in the first quarter, and were unable to catch their host team for the remainder of the game.
Collegedale outscored CCS by 10 points in the second quarter which gave the team a 36-19 lead going into the half.
While Collegedale netted 19 points in the third quarter, the Crusaders were only able to add five points to the board.
The home team finished strong by racking up 20 more points in the final quarter, and CCS managed to get nine more points before the game came to a close.
Chris Reynolds led CCS with 18 points.
