Cleveland High School is preparing for its annual Class Play Off event. Class Play offs are an evening of grade-level one-act plays that are student-directed by the senior Thespian members. After the final show — awards are presented for Best Play, Best Director, Audience Favorite, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress. This year — the seniors are preforming “13 ways to screw up your college interview” under the direction of Hannah Hicks; juniors are preforming “The Loathsome Lady” under the direction of Chauncey Whitlock; the sophomores are preforming "The Actor Games" with Ali Quinn as director; and the the freshen are performing "Cut!" with directors Megan Castleberry and Aimee Barnett. Performances of all plays will be presented at Cleveland High School’s Betsy Vines Memorial Theater on Feb. 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. with the awards presentation at the end.
