All German III and IV students passed the test and received this certificate of proficiency from the German Consulate.
The A2 is a German language proficiency test provided by the German government for foreigners who are interested in seeking employment in German companies and for students who wish to verify their proficiency in the German language.
The test consists of four parts: reading comprehension, writing comprehension, listening comprehension and speaking.
With the guidance of the German liaison, Petra Reuter, and the collaboration of Walker Valley German teacher Lisa Eulo, the students prepared for this rigorous test. Students studied diligently in and outside of class, meeting with other Walker Valley students before and after school and also on Saturday to further prepare.
This was a community effort for both CHS and Walker Valley students. Students Luke Shattuck, Katana Tharpe, Jesse Spain, Kelsey Wofford, Harrison Finnell, Courtney Whitlock (who graduated in May 2012) and Junior Rangely Roberts took the test during the last week of April.
The test required four class periods to complete.
