The Cleveland Middle School eighth-grade boys basketball team remained undefeated this week after a 43-40 double overtime victory over Ocoee Middle on Friday evening.

The Raiders played catchup most of the contest as the Colts came out with a solid defensive game plan and took advantage of Raider’s poor shooting. Breaking open a tight contest, the Colts took a 27-21 lead into the fourth quarter, but a CMS comeback tied the game sending the contest into overtime.

The Colts seemed to have the victory until a 3-pointer by Bradley McCurdy sent the game into a second overtime. With three seconds remaining in the second OT, the Raider's TJ Constant drained a 3-pointer to secure the victory. Constant led the Raider scoring attack with 19 points followed by McCurdy with nine. Cantrell Ware had seven assists

On Saturday, the Raiders went to Maryville and brought home a 69-29 victory over Carpenter Middle School. McCurdy led the scoring with 17 followed by Constant with 12 and Spencer Goode with 10.

The Raiders are now 9-0 on the season.
