“I’m extremely proud of my staff in the Marketing Department,” stated Tony Bartolo, director of marketing and public information.
“Out of 300 ad agencies in and around Chattanooga, only 16 gold Addys were given and CSCC received two of them. I’ve always felt that we have a very professional department that produces good work, and it is nice to have some validation in winning these awards. As far as the NCMPR awards are concerned, I have never seen this high of a winning percentage in any award ceremonies that I’ve attended in my 33 years in this business. It certainly reinforces the kind of talent that resides in our marketing department.”
Cleveland State brought home gold awards in the categories for their “It’s All About the Green” campaign and CSCC posters. They brought home a silver for their “CSCC Branding” campaign.
Bartolo stated, “Senior designer Jeff Reep was the creative lead for both of these campaigns. In the brief period of time that Jeff has been with us, he has proven himself to be a highly creative talent.”
CSCC had 21 submissions in eight different categories for the NCMPR awards. Out of the 21 submissions, they won 18 awards — 14 gold, three silver, and three bronze medallion awards. They brought home gold awards in the categories for their Freshmen Frenzy Microsite, STEM Campaign, Klan-Destine Campaign, Welcome Banners, Navajo Code Talkers Campaign, Qadim Ensemble Campaign, Cleveland State is Everything Campaign, Ester Bauer Holocaust Campaign, Green Day Logo, Green Day Campaign, QEP Campaign, Cleveland State is Everything Poster.
They won silver for the Sex and Money poster, One Source Logo, and the Cleveland State is Everything Poster. They brought home bronze for the Frontage Road Magazine, Alzheimer’s Campaign and One Source Letterhead.
“Cleveland State has been blessed with an outstanding staff, and the marketing department has done an extraordinary job,” stated Dr. Carl Hite, CSCC president. “Their peers have recognized them for their outstanding work by honoring them with the ADDY and NCMPR awards. I am very proud of the department and their accomplishments. These awards say a lot about the Marketing Department.”
