Black Fox Singers perform at Walt Disney World Resort

Black Fox Elementary School’s Black Fox Singers became stars of their own Disney show on June 6, when they traveled to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to take part in a Disney Performing Arts Program.

Dance groups, choirs, ensembles and marching bands from around the world apply to perform each year as part of Disney Performing Arts at both Disneyland and the Walt Disney World Resorts.

Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at the resort for an international audience of theme park guests.

Akins, McCracken, Carson earn honors at Freed-Hardeman

HENDERSON — Lauren Akin, a sophomore mathematics major, and Taylor McCracken, a senior arts and humanities major, were named to the Freed-Hardeman University President’s List.

Inclusion on the President’s List requires maintaining a grade point average of 4.00 for the semester and full-time status.

Akin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Akin.

McCracken’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Timothy McCracken.

Natalie Carson, a senior arts and humanities major, was named to the Dean’s List. Inclusion on the Dean’s List requires maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.40 for the semester and full-time student status.

Lindberg is on Loyola Dean’s List



NEW ORLEANS — Dustin Lindberg of Ooltewah was included on the Dean’s List for the spring 2011 semester at Loyola University New Orleans.

Students completing the semester with a 3.5 grade point average or higher are included on the Dean’s List.
