Charles J. “Buck” Davis, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning, May 31, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was the son of the late Carrie Green Davis and Henry Davis. His brothers: Bill, Claude, Bob and Fred Davis also preceded him in death.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He worked in construction and carpentry most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding through the mountains and spending time with his grandkids. He was of the Christian faith.
Survivor include the love of his life, Edna; sons: David Davis and his wife, Beth and Allen Davis; daughter, Jeannie Bostic and her husband, Jimmy; six grandkids; two great-grandkids; sister, Janie Bates; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Guinn Green officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.
